Have a Great Summer!

☀️ What a Year!

What a year it has been! We learned so much, tried new things, made memories, and had lots of fun along the way. 📚✨

We are so proud of how much we have grown and all the challenges we faced together. We laughed, learned, helped each other, and made so many special memories.

A special goodbye to our friends moving on to Grade 5! ðŸ’› We will miss having you in our classroom, but we are so excited to see all the amazing things you will accomplish. Remember to keep being kind, curious, and confident, and always believe in yourself. We know you are ready for this next adventure!

As we head into summer, we are excited for sunshine, adventures, and lots of fun! ☀️😎

Have a wonderful summer, everyone! We’ll see you in the fall!

Seed Survivor Comes to School! 🌻🌱

We had an exciting day when the Seed Survivor trailer came to our school! We learned all about seeds, plants, and fossils through fun, hands-on activities. We discovered how plants grow, what they need to survive, and why plants are so important to our world.

One of our favourite parts was planting our very own sunflower seeds! 🌻 We can’t wait to watch them grow and see how big they get.

We also got to be designers and engineers! We followed the design process to create models of landscapes that could prevent erosion. We tested our ideas, made changes, and worked together to figure out what designs worked best.

It was a fantastic day filled with science, teamwork, creativity, and discovery! 🌱🔎 We had so much fun learning by doing!

Our Field Trip to Mennonite Heritage Village!

Last week, our class went on an exciting field trip to the Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach! It was like stepping back in time and getting to see what life was like many years ago.

We explored lots of old houses, barns, churches, and schools. One of the coolest buildings we saw was a grass-roofed semlin! We learned that people used buildings like these for storage and other important jobs.

There were so many interesting things to see outside, too. We saw antique tractors, cars, trucks, and even an old firetruck! It was amazing to see how different vehicles looked compared to the ones we use today.

One of the biggest highlights was getting to climb up on a windmill. We could see so much from up high! It was definitely an experience we won't forget.

Of course, we can't forget the General Store! Getting to go inside and buy candy was a favourite part of the day. There were so many treats to choose from, and it was fun to experience what shopping might have been like in the past.

Our trip to Mennonite Heritage Village was a great way to learn about history while having fun with our classmates. We saw, explored, climbed, and learned so much. It was a field trip we will remember for a long time!
