Happy Halloween!

🎃 Pumpkins, Math & Halloween Fun!

We had a spooktacular time celebrating Halloween! One of our favourite activities was designing and carving our own pumpkins. We got to be creative and turn our pumpkins into all kinds of fun and unique creations!

We also had fun with pumpkin math! We counted pumpkin seeds, measured our pumpkins, compared their sizes and weights, and solved different math problems. It was a fun way to practice our math skills while using real pumpkins!

Of course, Halloween wouldn’t be complete without dressing up in our favourite costumes! 👻🕷️ We loved seeing all of the creative costumes our classmates wore.

It was a fun-filled day of creativity, learning, and Halloween spirit! We had a boo-tiful time! 🎃👻

Terry Fox Run 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We proudly participated in the Terry Fox Run! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ It was a special day because we learned about Terry Fox and his incredible determination to help find a cure for cancer.

We walked, ran, and cheered each other on as we made our way along the route. We encouraged our classmates and kept going, even when we got tired!

The Terry Fox Run helped us understand the importance of determination, courage, and never giving up. We learned that one person can make a huge difference and inspire millions of people.

We were proud to come together as a class and be part of Terry’s dream. 

Giraffes Can Dance! 🦒💃

 We kicked off the new year by reading Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae. The story reminded us that everyone has their own strengths and abilities, and that sometimes we just need to find our own way of doing things.

We connected the story to our New Year’s goals, thinking about something we would like to learn, improve, or work toward this year. Students shared their goals and talked about the importance of trying our best, believing in ourselves, and not giving up when something feels difficult.

A great reminder to start the new year: We can all find our own way to shine! ✨🦒
