A Bad Case of the Stripes! 🌈
After reading A Bad Case of the Stripes by David Shannon, our students talked about Camilla’s love of lima beans and how she eventually learned to be herself.
Students wrote about their favourite food and why they love it, using their senses to describe how it looks, smells, tastes, feels, and sounds. They then got creative by designing and colouring their own “stripes” on printed faces.
It was a fun way to connect reading, descriptive writing, sensory language, and art while celebrating the things that make each of us unique! 🌟
