We had lots of fun reading A Bad Case of the Stripes by David Shannon! We learned about Camilla, who loved lima beans but was afraid to be herself because she worried about what other people thought.
After reading the story, we talked about our favourite foods and why we love them. We used our senses to describe what our food looks, smells, tastes, feels, and sounds like. Some of us had some very yummy ideas!
Then we got to be creative and design our own colourful stripes on printed faces. We used our imaginations to create all kinds of wild and wonderful patterns. 🌈
This activity helped us practice descriptive writing, sensory language, reading, and art while also reminding us that it is important to be ourselves and celebrate what makes us unique! 🌟
