Chile
Jillian shared many family souvenirs from Chile such as a wall hanging made from llama fur, Chilean pesos, jewelry and several photos. Grapes, kiwi and other fruit are grown in Chile. Did you know that the largest swimming pool in the world is in Sam Alfonso del mar, at a private resort in Algorrobo Chile?

Turkey
Asher took us on a little journey to Turkey! He painted a flag and brought us some delicious baklava to sample. Everyone thought it tasted like apple pie! Did you know that the currency in Turkey is Lira?

Italy
Kaydence took us to Italy! She demonstrated an Italian dance while wearing an example of a traditional Italian dress. We got to sample bruschetta with cheese sticks and crackers. It was yummy!

Tower & Bridge Challenges
We’ve been busy in science this month learning about structures, strength and stability. Building bridges and towers with limited time and materials was sure interesting. We had a lot of fun and learning at the same time!

Using only a few straws, sticks, coffee stirrers, 60 cm of string, 90 cm of tape some towers successfully held a tennis ball 10 cm off a surface!
