We’ve been busy in science this month learning about structures, strength and stability. Building bridges and towers with limited time and materials was sure interesting. We had a lot of fun and learning at the same time!
Build a bridge with only index cards
Using only a few straws, sticks, coffee stirrers, 60 cm of string, 90 cm of tape some towers successfully held a tennis ball 10 cm off a surface!
We visited the Morris Museum and learned a lot about the history of Morris. We saw many tools, toys, war memorabilia and even what old rooms would have looked like. The wonderful volunteers told us many stories about where the items came from and how they were used. We even learned how to play some older games. Thank you for the homemade cookies!
Kandinsky is a famous artist who saw colours when he listened to music. This inspired his many famous paintings. We used his ideas to incorporate circles into our Christmas tree art.
