Festival du Voyageur

When we got to the Festival we went on the cart pulled by two horses. Their names were Sally and Jess. Then we went to see ice sculptures. My favorite ice sculpture was the roadside gas station from the Sweden team. After we went to a fire place and we did a game called canoe relay. Then we played a domino game. Then I was COLD! So we went in a shack for lunch. After that we went to the playground. There were pictures with face holes. Then we went sledding in the playground there was tubing and rope climbing up the hill. There were indents in a ice wall that looked like people. There was an angel, two people and a person sleeping.

At the Festival du voyageur we made a sac à feu craft. We went to the winter playground and there was a maze and sledding and tubes which is tire sledding. I felt happy and nervous when I went down the sled with my friend Carlos. He got to hold the front and I held the back of the sled and I'm sure he was nervous too. I also challenged Carlos to tug-a-war and he said sure and he said yes because he won.

We rode a horse cart.  The  horses names' were Jess and Sally.  We saw ice sculptures.  My favorite is a big women and man and a table.  We also saw ice sculptures of a gas station, horse team, Bugs Bunny. We went to the winter park. I did the maze twice and sat by the fire. There was tug of war, rope climbing, face cutouts. We went to a show. They talked about things that the voyageur wore and we made a bag.

Today we had so much fun at the Festival du Voyageur. We learned some French words. Then we
went on a horse cart ride. The names of the horses were Sally and Jess. We saw a lot of ice sculptures.
Some of the sculptures were a team of horses, cool sounds, a gas station, two hands, the arctic sun,
and the wind. We went in a cabin for lunch. It was heated by a fire. Then we went to the winter
playground were they had a snow maze, tubing, and tobogganing. Me and Leah went on a toboggan
together. After that we went to a show and we learned about the voyageurs clothing and learned
how to make little sac a feu. We had lots of fun. But it was very COLD.
