We are mailing our flat Stanleys. We wrote a leter with our Stanleys. We took pictures of ourselves and cut our heads out and got a little body then glued our heads on the body. Then we got a nice piece of paper then we cut the paper into pants and a shirt. We are mailing our flat Stanleys to Australia. We learned that our friends in Australia they go snorkeling in gym and we don't. We go skating.

This week at school we learned a new math game. It is called Hundreds of Horses. It is really fun. This is how you play. First you spin the spinner and then you roll the dice. You add as many hundreds as the number on the dice. The first one to get three in a row wins.

Today we got our parts for our play. It is called A Pirate Christmas. I am a pirate called Green Beard. I didn't want to be Green Beard. I wanted to be the Captain Pirate and the girl who got it is really nice but it felt like she was bragging.

Two days ago we watched a movie called Rio to get into the theatre. We had to bring a canned food item or some dollars. All of the money and food was given to the FCC food drive called Drive Away Hunger.

Yesterday we started to make a PowerPoint about ourselves. PowerPoint is a program where you can make a slide show on any topic you want. It is really cool!

We made birch tree paintings. Birch trees are white and when some of the bark peels off it turns the section brown or black. To make the painting you have to put ripped pieces of masking tape on a white piece of paper. Then you paint the background, the middle ground and the foreground and when it is dry we peel off the tape and draw on the trees.

I Love TWAS

We are supporting people that do not have food. The class that has the most gets a pizza party. I like having fun. I watched Rio and brought food.

We read a book named Dex The heart of a hero. It was about a dog that wanted to be a hero.

We got our parts for A Pirate Christmas. My part is Yellow Beard.

Today in gym I played Silent Ball. What you do is spread around and try to not drop the ball.

3 Things About School

We have to get food in for the FCC food drive. The class that gets the most food items in gets a pizza party. Our class really wants to win because we really want pizza.

In music, we got our parts for the play and I am a reindeer named Prancer.

Me and Holly went to the movie Rio. It was nice. Me and Holly got a lot of snacks like popcorn. There was candy too. We had to bring a food item to get into the movie.

I like to listen to Tumblebooks in Daily 5. "The Bears We Know" is a story of the three bears. The house is always messy.
On Monday we play soccer. And we won. The other team got 2 goals.

Welcome back to school!

I had a wonderful summer and hope all my students did too! I am so happy to meet my new students and to welcome back my grade four students. We will be using this blog to record our thoughts, reflect on our learning and post our pictures from our classroom.
