TWAS by Amber

This week at school we did yoga with the Mick E. Moose and then we got pizza. Mick E. Moose was at school because there was a Jets town take over.
We had 3 countries presentations. First we had Corban,s he did Egypt, then Nazar did France and Noah did Scotland.
We did art and we painted backgrounds and we chose either a fox or a rabbit.

TWAS by Damon

This week at school we watched Bill Nye about towers and how to build towers and step by step. There were country presentations and the presentations were about Scotland, Egypt and France. We did an art project. We had to do a fox or a rabbit and I picked a fox and painted a background and my background was awesome. This week I played prodigy and it is a fun math game. This week we read The One and Only Ivan and slowly but surely in to the book. This week I got in trouble and it was not fun. This week was the Jets town take over and I won a hat and that was the best thing in my life and my class got pizza party and had yoga with Mick E. Moose.             by Damon

Scotland

We travelled to Scotland with Noah and learned that the bagpipe is the national instrument. We listened to the playing of the national anthem played with bagpipes as well as watched a musical video with beautiful pictures. Noah brought shortbread, a traditional Scottish biscuit, for us to taste. Yum!

Egypt

Corban taught us about Egypt. In Egypt there are deserts and pyramids. We watched a video about Ancient Egypt and then danced like Egyptians.

Jets Town Takeover

We had visitors come to school today as part of the Winnipeg Jets Town Takeover. We learned about how it’s important to not only take care of our physical
Health but our mental health also. After we did lots of stretching and breathing exercises with a special guest Mick E. Moose! We also enjoyed some pizza! Everyone was invited to attend the viewing of the Winnipeg Jets vs. Tampa Bay Lightning at the Morris Multiplex. Go Jets Go!

Index Card Tower Challenge

Today the students were challenged to build the tallest tower using 100 Index cards and 1 metre of tape in 25 minutes. Some groups made pyramids while others used pillars. Building in a set amount of time was tricky!

France

We learned some facts about France today suck as pâté is a popular food, rugby is a popular sport and euros are the currency. Nazar showed us pictures of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and Mont Blanc. We then tasted some homemade sweet buns. Delicious! Merci beaucoup!
