Time Capsule to be opened in 2042

We got the chance to contribute to the Morris Museum time capsule that will be opened in 25 years from now. We wrote about what we thought our occupations would be and where we would be living in the year 2042. We also made predictions about what could be different in the future.

Our movie is about a girl named Emily who lives in Wonderland. She travels into the real world and runs into trouble with the Queen of Stars.

Pumpkin carving is always a favourite activity in October. We weighed and measured our pumpkins then scooped out all the goop. Next we counted all the seeds and graphed the numbers. Wow that was a lot of seeds!

Cross Country Meet

We had a great day participating at the grade 3 to 8 cross country meet in St. Malo today! Everyone did their absolute best and all finished the race. Way to go!

Team Building Spaghetti Tower Challenge

We have been spending lots of time getting to know each other this past week. One of the activities we did was build spaghetti towers. The students were given the following materials: 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 meter of masking tape, 1 meter of string and 1 marshmallow. Using teamwork they had to build the tallest freestanding tower that could support 1 large marshmallow. Each team made plans, talked about changes needed and were successful in building a tower by the second day.
