🗳 Student Vote: Learning About Canada’s Federal Election

 

Our class has been learning all about Canada’s federal election! We explored what political leaders and candidates do, and how each party has a platform—a set of ideas and plans for our country.

To put our learning into action, we took part in the Student Vote program. We each received a real ballot, marked our choice in private, and placed it in the ballot box—just like in an actual election.

It was a great way to learn about democracy, how voting works, and why every voice matters. 🇨🇦

Baby Everly's 4th visit

Baby Everly Visits Again! 👶💖

Today we had a very special visitor — Baby Everly came for her 4th visit to our class! She’s 7 months old now and growing fast.

Everly is always so happy — she smiles at everyone and lights up the room! You can tell she absolutely loves her older brother, and it’s so sweet to see them together.

She doesn’t have any teeth yet, but she’s already enjoying yummy foods like pureed carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, strawberries, and even chicken!

Everly also loves to play with her toys and explore the world around her. She’s curious, cute, and full of joy.

🏛 Monsters in Famous Places

 

This week, we became artists, researchers, and storytellers all at once! First, we each chose a famous structure from around the world—like the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China, or the Sydney Opera House. We researched our chosen landmark to learn what makes it special, then painted it in bright, beautiful colors.
But we didn’t stop there—each of us imagined a one-of-a-kind monster that lived inside our structure! Some were silly, some were spooky, and some were just plain weird. We gave them names, special powers, and backstories to explain how they ended up there.
It was a mix of art, geography, and imagination that made our classroom feel like a world tour—monster style! 🌍👹🎨
